Jim Mason had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Dave Lemanczyk completed the game without help from the bullpen at Yankee Stadium where the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees 9 to 1.
Lemanczyk(1-0) pitched a solid game. He allowed 7 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 3.86. Toronto banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.
Ed Figueroa(1-1) ended up with the loss. Toronto scored big getting 8 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings. 'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Lemanczyk said. 'It's great to be back on the winning side of things.
