1977 - May 4, MILWAUKEE 8 @ TORONTO 0

Jim Slaton pitched a complete game shutout at Exhibition Stadium as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Toronto Blue Jays by the count of 8 to 0.

Slaton(4-1) gave Milwaukee a solid outing. He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.65 to 2.09. Milwaukee had 12 hits for the night.

Bill Singer(1-4) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 8 runs in 5 innings.

Milwaukee won for the 6th straight time. Alex Grammas was in a talkative mood after the ballgame. 'Fellows, I don't know what to tell you. our guys are just playing lights out lately.

Everything and everybody is just really hitting on all cylinders. I know it can't last forever - but that isn't going to stop us from trying!'
