Right fielder Carlos Lopez went yard and had 3 RBI at Exhibition Stadium where the Seattle Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays in 10 innings 6 to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Seattle ended up winning it in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Jose Baez laced a base-hit. Bill Stein was next and he smacked a single. After another out, LarryMilbourne stepped in and he hit a single. The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.
The victory was credited to Diego Segui(3-3) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. Bill Laxton got the save, his 5th. Mike Willis(1-2) was hit with the loss in relief. He surrendered 3 hits and no walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
