John Wockenfuss blasted 2 homeruns as the Detroit Tigers beat the pitiful Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 6 to 3. Dave Roberts(5-6) pitched well for Detroit in their victory. He surrendered 7 hits and no walks in 8 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA from 4.70 to 4.45. Detroit had 9 hits for the night.
Milt Wilcox earned the save, his 1st. Mike Willis(2-4) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6 and 2/3 innings of work.
