1977 - July 26, TEXAS 9 @ TORONTO 2

Ed Kirkpatrick hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI and Bert Blyleven allowed just 3 hits at Exhibition Stadium where the Texas Rangers beat the dreadful Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 9 to 2.

Toronto was unable to recover after Texas went ahead in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs using 3 hits. Toby Harrah led off and started the attack as he tripled. Bump Wills stepped into the batter's box and he doubled. After an out was recorded, Kirkpatrick came to the plate and doubled. Jim Clancy then threw a wild pitch. Jim Sundberg got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Mike Hargrove was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Texas had a total of 11 hits for the game.

Blyleven(12-6) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Clancy(0-1) was charged with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
