Carlos Lopez left the yard and had 3 RBI at Exhibition Stadium where the Seattle Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays in 10 innings 6 to 5.
The score was tied at 5 after nine. Seattle won the game in the 10th inning. Dave Collins blasted a solo shot (his 1st of the season). Lopez struck out, unable to help the rally. One out later, Bill Stein followed, but he was set down on strikes. Both teams totaled 10 hits on the night.
The win went to Enrique Romo(1-1) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Diego Segui recorded the save, his 1st. Pete Vuckovich(0-4) was given the loss in relief.
