Sixto Lezcano rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Milwaukee Brewer stopped the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 9 to 4 at Exhibition Stadium.
Lezcano had a big day against Toronto. He cracked a two-run shot in the 6th inning and smashed a two-run homer (his 9th of the season) in the 7th inning. For the game Milwaukee out-hit Toronto 13 to 7.
Barry Cort(1-0) allowed 4 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Jesse Jefferson(1-3) was tagged with the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 and 2/3 innings.
