Don Money had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Milwaukee Brewers topped the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 6 to 5 at Exhibition Stadium.
Milwaukee scored 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning with the help of 3 hits. They would prove to be the difference in the contest. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.
Jim Slaton(10-8) was the winner allowing 5 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Bill Castro earned the save, his 7th. Jeff Byrd(2-4) took the loss. He was knocked around by Milwaukee, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
Milwaukee now has a record of 53-49. With this loss, Toronto has a 3-7 record of late, 32-68, worst in the division overall.
