1977 - April 10, CHICAGO 0 @ TORONTO 5

Jerry Garvin(1-0), with relief help from Chuck Hartenstein, blanked the Chicago White Sox at Exhibition Stadium. The Toronto Blue Jays scored scored 5 runs for the victory. Chicago fell behind quickly as the Toronto offense came through in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Garvin and Toronto. That was all the run support Garvin required. Chicago was out-hit by Toronto, 12 hits to 5.

Steve Stone(0-1) was the loser. He gave up 12 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings.
