Dave Rozema tossed a complete game and center fielder Ron Leflore had 4 hits and scored 3 times as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 8 to 4 at Exhibition Stadium.
Detroit took the lead for good in the top of the 5th inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. Detroit rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.
Rozema(7-9) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. The losing pitcher was Mike Willis(2-5). Detroit scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5 and 2/3 innings.
