In a tight game it was the Chicago White Sox 6, the ice-cold Toronto Blue Jays 4 at Comiskey Park. Chicago took the lead off Bill Singer in the first inning scoring a single run using 2 hits. Alan Bannister stroked a one-base hit. After an out was recorded, Jorge Orta came up and he doubled. Richie Zisk then drew a walk. After another out, Oscar Gamble came to the plate and drew a walk to load the bases.
Lerrin Lagrow relieved and was untouched by Toronto as he recorded the save, his 2nd.
Ken Brett(1-1) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Singer(1-1) was charged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 5 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
