Charlie Moore had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Moose Haas pitched 9 strong innings at County Stadium as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8 to 2.
Moore enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'(his 6th of the season) in the 3rd inning, doubled bringing in a run in the 4th inning, ripped a base-knock in the 6th inning and stroked a one-base hit which plated a run in the 8th inning. Offensively, Milwaukee was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.
Haas(6-2) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Jesse Jefferson(1-4)ended up with the loss. He was touched for 11 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Milwaukee now has a record of 24-11. With the loss, Toronto has a record of 3-7 lately, 10-25 overall.
