Doug Ault went deep and had 6 RBI and Jerry Garvin allowed Roy Hartsfield to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Toronto Blue Jays man-handled the Minnesota Twins - the final score was 13 to 1.
Ault was a thorn in the side of the home town fans as he enjoyed a fine day at their team's expense. He delivered a single bringing in two baserunners in the 1st inning and lofted a three-run bomb (his 2nd of the season) in the 4th inning. Toronto had a total of 17 hits for the game.
The win went to Garvin(3-2) who allowed 1 run in the game. Pete Redfern(3-2)was the losing pitcher. By surrending 7 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings his ERA jumped from 4.58 to 5.82.
