Lyman Bostock had 2 base hits at Exhibition Stadium as the Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays in 10 innings 9 to 5.
The game was dead locked at 5 after nine full innings. Minnesota came out the victor in the 10th inning. The big moment was provided by Willie Norwood who quieted the home crowd when he lofted a three-run bomb (his 1st of the season). Minnesota banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.
Tom Johnson(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Pete Vuckovich(0-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 3 hits and 2 walks.
