In a lop-sided win the Kansas City Royals ripped the Toronto Blue Jays by a 9 to 4 count.
Kansas City went ahead for good in the 2nd inning when they scored 3 runs on 2 hits. The key at-bat was by Frank White who made the crowd happy when he delivered a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Kansas City finished with 12 hits in the victory.
The win was credited to Jim Colborn(2-0) who went 7 innings allowing no runs. Bill Singer(1-3) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
